FUNDRAISING
Fundraising plans for
the year are set in April/May the year before to ensure that our activities
make it into the school calendar. Last
year’s Parents’ Advisory Council Executive decided, based on parent feedback to
cut back on take home fundraisers (i.e. Purdy’s, Entertainment books), and
focus on community events to raise money for Eagle View Elementary. This year we have three scheduled fundraising
events; a Fall Raffle, Spring Fair with Silent Auction, and the Scholastic Book
Fair. Eagle View Elementary Parents’
Advisory Council is also in the pool for another Victoria Royals 50/50 night,
we will have more information regarding this in the upcoming weeks. Aside from the scheduled fundraisers we also
have ongoing fundraisers at Thrifty Foods, Co-op Gas, Cobs Bread and the
Recycle Depots. If you frequent any of
these businesses, please consider supporting the school. Details regarding the
ongoing fundraisers can be found below, through the Parent Partner, and on the
PAC website at evepac.weebly.com.

All money raised through school fundraisers is used at our children’s school. Some items the PAC has funded in the past include the new Kindergarten playground, money towards the purchase of iPADs, and the climbing wall in the gym. This year we are focusing our fundraising efforts on enhancing our schoolyard, including preserving and enhancing our naturescape area and working towards building an outdoor learning space. If you have any ideas, questions or comments please don’t hesitate to contact any member of the Parents’ Advisory Council Executive.
Please note that date events and times may change or be cancelled due to lack of volunteers or other issues.
We will give as much notice as possible of any changes.
